Centennial Collegiate Principal’s Welcome

I extend a warm Centennial welcome to all as you enjoy some early season basketball action. There is nothing better than hearing bouncing basketballs mixed with the squeaking of court shoes on the gym floor to get you amped up for another exciting basketball season!!

The Charger Charity Classic is unique in the province as it combines a top notch display of basketball skills with the philanthropic purpose of raising money for charity. The Saskatchewan Children’s Hospital Foundation has been the benefactor of over $20,000.00 to date and this year we hope to add to the total in a significant way.

Centennial’s own ACTS of Kindness initiative also benefits from the donations of food items as staff and students help create and donate to charitable organizations in our city. By all accounts the tournament is a win- win!!!

I give thanks to Mr. Dawe and Mrs. Brimacombe co-chairs of the Charger Classic. Without their dedication and commitment to detail the tournament would not be the show case event that it currently is. With their guidance, the staff and students of Centennial have embraced the event and have truly made it a community event. Thanks to one and all!!

In closing, I wish the players and their coaches all the best as they combine great sportsmanship with strong athleticism. To the fans, please enjoy the talent that is exhibited on the basketball court ...cheer loudly!!! It is my genuine hope that all that have been involved in this tournament will leave our school gym knowing that they have helped to make the fabric of our school and community much stronger.

The 2018 C4 is Warming Up!

The Centennial Charger Charity Classic is getting ready to run it's 9th annual High School charity basketball tournament on Dec 7th & 8th, 2018.

The draw and team rosters are posted and things at Centennial are really heating up!

The C4 was first started in the fall of 2010. The intent was to create a unique basketball tournament environment that brought together some of the best competition from around the province - both big cities and small cities. Ultimately, we wanted to do something truly unique in our community, and that meant more than just basketball...

There are two significant charity groups that our school has worked with since the doors opened in 2006: Holiday Family Hampers and the Children's Hospital Foundation. It made logical sense to incorporate these charities into the tournament focus and the C4 has become one of a kind with its charity driven purpose.
